Lively is known for two main products. The mobile device for medical alerts and the mobile phone (flip phone and smartphone).
After you purchase both a Lively phone and mobile as a new customer, you need to activate and set up the device. The activation process is either completely online or offline. For online activation, you need stable wireless internet to complete the process.
In a nutshell, to activate your Lively mobile, you have to either activate it online via the GreatCall site or the Lively site for the phone.
While for offline activation, you call customer support to complete the activation for you. After that, you set up the phone offline.
Note that, if you bought your Lively mobile device directly from GreatCall, you don’t need to complete the activation process. The Network activates all their devices.

How To Activate Lively Mobile Device
You can either activate your mobile online or offline. As mentioned earlier, the activation process is only for you, if you purchased your mobile device from an authorized retailer like Walmart, RiteAid, Amazon, Sears, and others.
Activate Lively Mobile Device Online
. Check the back of the mobile device for the device’s Serial Number.
. Visit the Activation page.
. Click on Activate under the Mobile Medical Alerts.
. Enter your location’s ZIP Code and click on Check Coverage.
. Select if you are a New Customer or Existing Customer
. Fill in your details like your name, the serial number you got earlier, your email address, and your password.
. Click on Confirm to continue the process.
. Follow the other onscreen instructions to complete the process.
. You will receive a confirmation message via text or email once the activation process is complete.
Note: You can complete the online activation process on your computer as long as it’s connected to the internet.
Activate Lively Mobile Device Offline
The network gives you the option to activate your mobile device offline if you don’t have access to the internet. Simply call the activation department at 888-900-1369 and request to activate your phone.
Have your device serial number handy before you call. Also, since your current number is not active, you have to call in from another number.
How To Setup Lively Mobile Device
After you activate the device, the next step is to set up the device. The setup process is applicable even if you purchased it directly from GreatCall. Follow the steps below to complete the process:
. Check the back of the device for the DO NO POWER ON BEFORE ACTIVATING sticker. Remove the sticker.
. Press the Power Button to turn on the phone.
. Plug in the device in the charging dock to charge.
. You will hear a pre-recorded voice note ‘Setting Up Device Please Wait’.
. You will hear another pre-recorded voice note Welcome To 5Star after the setup is complete.
. Voila!!! The setup process is complete and your device is ready to use. Dial any number to confirm the device is actively working.
How To Activate Lively Phone
The steps to activating the Lively phone are almost similar to that of the mobile device. The process just has a little difference. Check below for the complete steps.
Activate Lively Phone Online
. Check the back of the phone and copy down the IMEI number.
. Visit the Activation page.
. Click on Activate under the phone you want to activate.
. Enter your location’s ZIP Code and click on Check Coverage.
. You will see an option to Keep Existing Phone Number.
. Select Yes if you want to port a number from another network. You will need to contact the Lively Porting department to confirm number transfer eligibility.
. Select No if you want a new number and proceed with the other steps below.
. Select if you are a New Customer or Existing Customer
. Fill in your details like your name, the IMEI number you got earlier, email address, and password.
. Click on Confirm to continue the process.
. Follow the other onscreen instructions to complete the process.
. You will have to select a plan and enter payment details to pay for your plan and activation fee.
. You will receive a confirmation message via text or email once the activation process is complete.
NotYou can complete the online activation process on your computer as long as it’s connected to the internet.
Activate Lively Phone Offline
To activate your Lively Phone offline, call support at 888-900-1367. Request for help to activate your new phone. Check the back of the phone to get the IMEI number.
Also, if you are transferring or porting an existing number from another carrier, have the following details handy: Account of Account Holder/ Service Provider Name/ Account Number/ Account Password or Transfer PIN/ Last 4 digits of SSN/ Billing Address On Account.
