Does AT&T Have A Transfer PIN?
Yes. AT&T has a transfer PIN. This is different from the account Security PIN or wireless passcode. The transfer PIN is the PIN you submit to a new carrier when you wish to port your number from AT&T to a new network.
The transfer PIN adds a layer of protection to your phone number to prevent scammers from placing illegal number transfer requests.
For AT&T to approve a number transfer request, the other carrier has to be the one placing the port-out request on behalf of the customer. Also, the carrier must submit the customer’s transfer PIN and other account details to AT&T.
