7 Ways To Fix Visible Wireless Activation Problems

You are required to activate your Visible Wireless SIM card if you are a new subscriber or you are transferring your line from another network. You can only access the Visible Wireless services after you activate your SIM card.

 Failure to activate your Visible Wireless SIM Card limits you to only connecting your smartphone to a Wi-Fi wireless network. You can’t make or receive calls, send or receive text messages or use cellular data.

Thankfully, the activation process is fairly easy and can be completed in less than 10 minutes. All you have to do is connect your smartphone to a wireless network and complete the activation process.

Why Am I Experiencing SIM Card Activation Problems On Visible Wireless?

a. SIM Card Activation Failure

First, it could be that, you didn’t follow through with the correct activation process or that the activation process simply failed. The issue can be from your device or a system failure from the Visible Wireless network.

b. Network Coverage Issue

Safelink Wireless is a (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) MVNO that uses the Tracfone towers to offer its services. Although the Tracfone network has wide network coverage, there are still areas with weak or no network coverage.

If you are in such a location, you can’t activate your Visible Wireless SIM card or use their services. The solution is to move to a location with a strong network signal.

c. Transfer Process Incomplete

If you are transferring your line from Mobile Network to Visible Wireless, the transfer needs to be complete before you activate your Visible Network. If there is an issue delaying the transfer process with your previous carrier, it will affect your activation process with the Visible Wireless network.

d. Issue With The SIM Card

The issue could be from the SIM Card. It could be that your SIM Card is not compatible with your smartphone. SIM cards come in different sizes, if you order the wrong SIM Card for your device, you can’t proceed with the activation process.

Finally, it could be that your cellphone is not compatible with Visible Wireless phone requirements. You have to confirm that your phone is compatible with the network first.

Ways To Fix Visible Wireless Activation Problems

a. Confirm Line Transfer

If you are transferring your line from another network, you need to confirm that the transfer process is complete. First, ensure your account with your previous carrier is still active for the duration of the transfer process.

Also, check for transfer information and confirm that all the information you provided for the transfer process is accurate. That includes your name, PIN, account number, billing address, and other details.

Contact the support team of your previous carrier to help speed up the transfer process to your new network.

b. Check For Visible Wireless Network Coverage

You have to confirm that there is Visible Wireless network coverage in your area. You can find out by checking the Visible Wireless Coverage map. Enter your location and click on the Search option.

If your location is outside the coverage area, which is most unlikely, wait till you get to a location within the coverage area and try the activation process again.

c. Check Device Compatibility

Visible Wireless has a list of compatible devices that can be used on their network. Visit the device compatibility page on their site; enter your device details to confirm if your device is compatible.

. Activate Your SIM Card

Try activating your SIM card if the initial activation process fails. Follow the steps below to activate your Visible Wireless SIM and eSIM.

. Connect your smartphone to a Wireless network.

. Check For available software updates and update to the latest version.

. Download the Visible App and sign in to your account.

. Insert the Visible Wireless SIM card into your cell phone.

. Restart your phone and update your carrier settings following the onscreen instructions.

. Open the Visible app again and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the activation process.

Activate Visible Wireless eSIM Card

. Connect your smartphone to a Wireless network.

. Check Here and confirm your smartphone is compatible with the eSIM.

. Download the Visible App, and select ‘Get Started’.

. Download the eSIM card from the Visible app.

. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation process.

. You will see the option to transfer your number.

d. Check Your SIM Card

Another option is to check your SIM Card. Remove your Visible Wireless SIM card and check for damages. If there are cracks on the SIM especially on the side with the chip, it means the SIM card is damaged.

Also, try using the SIM card in another compatible phone and see if it works. If it works, then the issue is with the previous device.

e. Update Software On Your Phone

Firmware is the software that powers the hardware parts of your device. Updates are released from time to time with better features. It is advisable to ensure that your device is running on the latest firmware version always.

Updating the firmware on your device to the latest version can help resolve the issue.

To update the firmware on your device:

. Connect your device to a wireless network.

. Go to ‘Settings’ and ‘About Phone’.

. If there is a software update available, you will see the ‘Update’ option.

. Select ‘update’ and ‘Install System Software’

. Wait a few minutes for the software to install and update on your mobile device.

f. Clear Cache On Smartphone

Clearing the cache on your device is a troubleshooting process that helps to resolve minor glitches and enhance the performance of your device. The process can help resolve the SIM Card activation issue. Follow the steps below to clear the cache on your mobile device:

. Switch off your mobile device.

. Press and hold the ‘Volume Down’ and ‘Power’ buttons on your device.

. Release the power button when you see the device logo, while still holding down the volume button.

. On the ‘Android System Recovery’ page, scroll to ‘Wipe Cache Partition’ using the volume buttons, and select the option using the power button.

. Select ‘Reboot System Now’ after to power on your device.

g. Contact Visible Wireless Support
