Your Textnow account number, PIN, and address are the three main porting details you need to transfer your number to a new carrier. Each of these details has to be complete and accurate for the port-out process to work.
Most times, chatting with Textnow online support to get these details doesn’t work. They always find a way to delay knowing that you need these details to leave the network.
In summary, your Textnow account number is your phone number, while the PIN is the PIN you set up when you first created your account.
This post will guide you on the correct way to enter the port out details to get it to work. Also, you will learn the best way to contact Textnow customer support to get a PIN if you’ve lost your current PIN.
About Textnow Account Number
The Textnow account number is an essential detail in your account. You will need the number to make any major change in your account. Also, if you want to port the number to a new network, the carrier will request you to submit the account number for the process.
How To Find Textnow Account Number
Most carriers do assign a unique account number to customers on the network. Thankfully, that is not the same on the Textnow network. As mentioned earlier, your Textnow account number is a phone number.
Most times, if you just enter the 10-digit phone number, it won’t work. To get it to work, add 1 in front of the 10 digits number.
Textnow Account PIN
The account PIN adds an extra layer of protection to your Textnow account. That includes protecting your number from unauthorized port-out requests by scammers.
The PIN is the same Security PIN you set up when you first created your account.
Can’t Find Textnow Transfer PIN
If you can’t find your current PIN, you contact customer support to get a new PIN. It’s best not to contact customer support via online chat if you want a quick response.
The best options are either to call their official Facebook page or send an email to porting@textnow.com.
In your message, include that you need the PIN to port your number to a new network. You will receive a response in a couple of hours.
Textnow Address
Not all carriers request this. But if the new carrier requests your address, you have to enter the same address in your Textnow account.
If you’ve changed your address, update the address in your Textnow account, and enter the new address with the new carrier. Failure to do this will result in an error in the port-out process.
