You can enjoy your Blink devices without the need for a subscription plan. But the Blink subscription plan gives you access to more robust features.
For instance, you can record motion detection, have access to video history, share your videos, and capture images with the subscription plan.
If you have upgraded to any of the Blinks subscription plans and you still can’t access the plan, this post is for you. This post explains why your Blink subscription plan is not working and also provides tips to help you fix the issue.
But in a nutshell, if your Blink subscription plan is not working, it could be because you failed to link your accounts.
Other reasons may be because you failed to attach your devices, and failed to activate the subscription plans.
Why Is My Blink Subscription Plan Not Working?
Here is a breakdown of some of the reasons why your Blink subscription plan is not working:
a. End Of Free Trial
It could be that you failed to activate your subscription at the end of your free trial. After you set up your Blink device and account, you get access to a 30-day free trial.
The free trial gives you access to all the extra features that come with a Blink subscription plan. At the end of the 30-day free trial, you are required to make payment to continue enjoying the plan.
Failure to make payment and activate your plan after the trial period removes you from the subscription plan.
b. Incorrect Payment Information
Also, an error in your payment details or method can affect your subscription plan. It could be that there is an insufficient fund in the account used for payment.
Or that there is an error in the debit/ credit card detail you entered. All these can affect the activation of your subscription plan.
c. Failure To Attach Device
It could be that you have not attached your devices to your account yet. You can’t use your device on your subscription plan if you fail to attach your devices to the plan.
d. Error In Linked Account
The Amazon account you link to your Blink account must be the same account you used to pay for your subscription plan. If you attach a different Amazon account to your Blink account, it will affect your subscription plan.
Ways To Fix Blink Subscription Plan Not Working?
a. Check If Free Trial Is Active
If this is your first time using the Blink products, you are properly enjoying the 30-day free trial. You have to check if the free trial period is still running.
One way to confirm remaining on your free trial is to check the homepage of your Blink app. You will see the number of days remaining on your free trial. Also, you will get an email notification a few days before the expiration of the free trial.
When your free trial expires, proceed to pay for a subscription plan to continue enjoying the service.
b. Confirm Your Subscription
The next step is to confirm that you have an active subscription plan. Follow the steps below to confirm your subscription on both a Personal computer and a Smartphone:

. Launch the Amazon Marketplace App on your Smartphone.
. Scroll down the button on the Home page and tap on Menu.
. Select Your Account from the menu options.
. You will be prompted to log into your Amazon account. After you log into your Amazon account, select Account from the top menu.
